Colorado-based luxury women’s retailer MAX, is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. Starting in Denver in 1985, MAX founder + owner Max Martinez was first to offer many emblematic fashion labels in the Rocky Mountain region, including Romeo Gigli, Comme Des Garçons, Dolce & Gabbana, Dries Van Noten, and Celine, among others. The success of the boutique prompted expansion to Boulder in 1994, followed by a store in Aspen in 2000. Max’s continual discovery of new designers, some of whom are not currently sold in the U.S., keeps MAX at the forefront of luxury retailers in Colorado and beyond.

Equal to Max’s affinity for beautiful clothing is his commitment to philanthropic causes. Over the last decade, MAX has partnered with several high profile fashion designers to raise more than $2.5 million dollars to help fight hunger and domestic violence, and to support Children’s Hospital Colorado. “While my chosen path in fashion has led me to opportunities, experiences and a community of truly wonderful people, my success holds a higher purpose— to better the lives of those who need it most. I’ll never stop working to support worthwhile causes,” Martinez said.
