Welcome to our August 2019 Beauty Issue!

In this issue we focus on all things beauty and feature five women who are showcasing beauty in their own unique way. These women are not only interesting, powerful and talented but they also radiate an inner beauty that inspires me.

Before I launched the magazine in January, our cover star Judith Boyd of Style Crone came over to my house for morning tea to discuss her cover story. She arrived floating on a cloud of style, wearing, as usual, a fabulous hat paired with gloves. I was instantly mesmerized by the ease and lack of pretense that accompanied this display that us mere mortals might spend months planning to go to Ascot or the Derby. Prepare the tissues now for Judith’s interview with Stylist & Writer Koya Nyangi.

Our feature story is Amy Dickerson, owner of Live Love Lash in Cherry Creek North. I met Amy at an event for the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce and was instantly drawn to her vivacious personality. If you need a cheerleader or mentor for your growing business, Amy is the woman to seek out. Writer Jordan Laudadio sits down with Amy for this feature.

In this month’s Cultured, Artist Laura Moretz invites us into her studio to talk about her paintings that pull the viewer in with their beautiful movement and rich hues. Laura shares her story , techniques and plans for the future in an interview with her friend and our new Culture & Style Editor Annie Bloj. I am completely fascinated by Laura’s creativity and very excited about her decision to use her art to create a lifestyle brand. Stay tuned.

Emmy Award winning Anchor and Reporter Zora Stephenson is our model for this month’s Trend Report. We photographed Zora at the JW Marriott Denver in Cherry Creek, showing off three beauty trends for the summer. I am extremely excited about what’s ahead for Zora who will no doubt do great things in the television industry.

We round out the issue with Taylor Campbell-Semien, who has built a very impressive business while always looking so glamourous. My nickname for Taylor is #glossybossbabe and her energy and love of business is infectious!

Enjoy this issue and I hope that you feel inspired as I do by these five fascinating and beautiful women! Until next month..
