We are backstage with the Matthew Morris Salon & Skincare team at The Service with Style Fashion Show at the Halcyon Hotel in Cherry Creek. In its 7th year, Service with Style is a ‘luncheon and fundraiser with a fashion show and an exclusive pop-up shop with boutiques including Mariel, Matthew Morris Salon & Skincare and the presenting designer Cavanagh Baker.’ The event benefits women served by Volunteers of America. The Matthew Morris team show us how they get the models, from the agency Wilhelmina, runway ready and how you can get the hair look from the show!

HOW TO GET THE MODEL LOOK
THE LOOK: Cavanagh Baker was the presenting designer at the Service with style fashion show and she was right on trend with what I was seeing in New York with just soft, glowing, gorgeous hair. Soft, smooth waves that mimic a “shag” bang.
GET THE LOOK: Be very intentional with the direction and flow of your hair. The bang needs to bend forward but curl back to mimic a curtain bang and the rest needs to flow back. My favorite curling iron right now is the T3 brand that has interchangeable wands and is fantastic for women with long hair because it has a long wand. To achieve that holographic glow I would highly recommend treating your hair to a Kerastase Fusio treatment for moisture and shine. Use a thermo-protectant every time you touch your hair with heat! My favorite shine product right now is Elixer Ultime Bi-Phase oil.
