Welcome to our September 2019 Fall Fashion Issue!
Growing up on the tropical island of Saint Lucia, where the temperature doesn’t dip below ‘hot’, my love of Fall weather fashion was to say the least, extremely impractical. I recall creating a teen romance novel and hand-making the book with a photo of me in a thick sweater on the cover. Whenever this season rolls around, I chuckle at the memory and find childlike joy in bringing out my sweaters, boots, and structured blazers.
Our cover star, Television Host Stefanie Jones recently returned from a trip to my island of Saint Lucia and then slipped into some fantastic Fall Fashion looks from Neiman Marcus in Cherry Creek for our cover story. To say that Stefanie is charming and delightful is an understatement. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her at the photoshoot at the Jacquard Hotel.
Our feature story this month is on the designer Crystal Lee of C.R.LEE, who I have been following for some time. Her commitment to designing for diverse bodies is modern and simply the right thing to do. She will be showing her new collection at the upcoming Paris Fashion Week and I can’t wait to hear all of the backstage stories when she returns. We photographed her, wearing C.R.LEE at the JW Marriott Denver in Cherry Creek.
The design community in Denver continues to grow and one brand adding their voice to the mix is Glenn + Glenn. Sisters Jillian and Hillary create modern wearable pieces for the urban girl. A little bit of New York attitude in Denver. I am loving every piece in the collection and we got a sneak peek of the fall line at The Moxy in Cherry Creek.
I am so excited about our new segment launching this month called Cherry Creek Living. I love living and working in Cherry Creek so I am happy to present active Real Estate listings and the very stylish brokers who represent them. First up is the gorgeous Deborah Syke of the uber cool company milehimodern.
Our Cultured segment this month takes us to Olde Town Arvada to interview Jamie Hollier, owner of the jewelry store Balefire Goods. Jamie is involved with the non profit Cherry Arts, organizers of the annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival and has created a very special store featuring the work of talented jewelry designers and artisans.
The fun and fabulous Coco Smith, owner of the jewelry brand Cocotay invited us into her home this month for Closet Confidential. Come ready to laugh and have fun trying on beautiful vintage pieces from her collection when you visit!
Enjoy this issue and have fun with Fall Fashion this season! Until next month…
